BIOGRAPHY 

Samuele Francesco Mazza graduated in Musicology at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of Cremona with a thesis entitled "The idiomatic techniques of bandoneon in Tango". 

His interest in music began at the age of seven when he began studying the clarinet, then moving on to the diatonic accordion, an instrument with which he won numerous national competitions, including first prize at the "Italian diatonic accordion championship" in 2015. In the same year, he participated in the television program Italia's got Talent, receiving the praise of judges Nina Zilli, Frank Matano, Claudio Bisio and Luciana Litizzetto.

During a tour in Argentina in 2015, he discovered the bandoneon, the main instrument of tango, deciding to study with maestro Hector Ulises Passarella in Rome, and then with maestro Fabio Furia at the Cagliari Conservatory. Furthermore, he has participated in important masterclasses with well-known bandoneonists Daniel Binelli, Marcelo Nisinman and Patricio Bonfiglio. He has collaborated in the production of various CDs, such as "A los maestros" by Fabio Furia and Alessandro Deiana, "In viaggio per Gità" by Antonio Grosso, "Tvoja pese, je naš obraz - your song is our face" by Aljosha Saksida , Silvia Pierotti and the Romjan Ensemble. Furthermore, he has participated in the realization of various theatrical performances, including "Anfitrione" by Plautus, "Le Baccanti" by Euripides and "Vento Traverso" by Anna Pavone. He has given numerous concerts in various Italian cities, including Venice, Padua, Milan, Trieste, Gorizia, Udine, Pisa, Rome and Cremona, as well as having played in various foreign cities such as Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata (Argentina), Ljubljana ( Slovenia), Sofia, Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Bleiburg (Austria) and many others.

He has played as solo bandoneonist in various concerts with the important orchestra "Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese" and is currently part of two typical orchestras: the Transónica Tango Orchestra and the Orchestra Tipica Libertango (Bulgaria). Furthermore, he carries out a didactic activity at various musical institutions, holding seminars and private lessons throughout Italy.
